Dashboard Overview
Understand the home dashboard, setup checklist, KPI cards, and performance metrics.
Your ViralRef dashboard is the central hub for monitoring your referral program's performance. This guide walks through each section and what it tells you.
Who Sees What
ViralRef shows different views depending on your role:
- Admins and owners see the full organization dashboard at
/homewith KPIs, charts, and team performance - Regular team members are directed to their personal My Referrals page, where they can track their own referral activity
Setup Checklist
When you first create your organization, the dashboard displays a setup checklist to help you get everything running:
- Connect Square — Link your Square account for payment tracking and rewards
- Create a program — Set up your first referral program with commission rules
- Add an affiliate — Add your first referrer or enable the viral loop
- Share your referral link — Start distributing your link to customers and staff
Once all steps are complete, the checklist disappears and your performance metrics take center stage.
Overview Cards
The top of the dashboard displays four primary KPI cards:
| Metric | What It Measures |
|---|---|
| Total Clicks | How many times your referral links have been clicked |
| Total Conversions | Number of referred purchases that have been tracked |
| Total Revenue | Revenue generated from referred customers |
| Total Commissions | Commissions earned by your referrers |
Each card also shows a count of pending items (conversions awaiting approval, commissions not yet paid out) so you can quickly spot what needs attention.
Performance Cards
Below the overview, three secondary cards provide operational context:
- Active Programs — How many referral programs are currently running
- Active Affiliates — How many referrers have active status
- Conversion Rate — The percentage of clicks that result in a tracked purchase
Share Your Referral Link
A prominent section displays your organization's main join URL with share buttons. This is your primary link for inviting new affiliates to your referral program.
Revenue Trend Chart
A 30-day line chart shows daily revenue from referred customers. Use this to spot trends, identify peak days, and measure the impact of promotions or campaigns.
Team Performance Table
If your organization has more than one member, a table ranks each team member's affiliate performance:
- Name and role
- Number of referrals
- Conversions generated
- Revenue attributed
- Commission earned
This helps you identify your top-performing staff members and reward them accordingly.
Recent Activity
The bottom of the dashboard shows your most recent 20 conversions, including:
- Customer name
- Referring affiliate
- Amount
- Commission
- Status (pending, approved, rejected, fraud)
Click any conversion to see its full details.
